Le Shoutout π§£
Two weeks ago, Meg Wright shared the Japanese term called βoubaitoriβ in the comment section.
βOubaitori is the notion that we all grow at our own paces, much like the peach and cherry trees blossom in their own times. Whether birds, trees, or people, our strengths lie in our differences,β she said.
Today, to celebrate Meg Wrightβs birthday, Iβd like to remind usΒ allΒ about βoubaitori.β
As we enter today, a new day, week, month, or year, remember to give yourself the grace to grow at your own pace.
Shoutout Meg Wright. Thanks for being a powerful pillar of light.
Le Story βοΈ
π Mpumalanga
Two weeks ago, while drinking coffee, Amelie kept taking sips from my dadβs cup.
βWhy do you keep drinking my coffee and not yours?β my dad asked.
βBecause I have tea,β Amelie responded enthusiastically.
Later, we were looking at a bird in a tree, trying to figure out what it was.
Our game guide put his binoculars down and declared, βYellow-billed kite.β
I looked at it again, realised that it was, indeed, a Yellow-billed kite, and said, βI never take Yellow-billed kites into consideration.β
βWell, you better start,β my sister replied.
Later that evening, I was making a fire.
βThanks for making the fire,β my dad said.
βNo worries,β I replied. βIβm just practising forβ¦β
I paused, not sure what I was practising for.
Eventually, one second later, I looked back at my dad and said:
ββ¦ the next fire I make.β

Le Question π€
Do you know what is in other peopleβs cups? Do you consider Yellow-billed kites? What are you practising for?
Have a powerful Monday, everyone.
Remember to send this to someone who you think would enjoy Le Weekly:
Hello for this morning, and your questions stump me. I have no idea what is in other peopleβs cups, unless theyβre my grandchildren staying with me. No other cups matter. π
I have no idea what Iβm practising for, other than perhaps trying to beat my grandson on our new Christmas magnet game. Not going well βΉοΈ
And Iβve forgotten the 3rd question already because Iβm quite old and happy. π₯°
This Le Weekly giving me the warm βn fuzzies π₯° shoutout Mike Wright! Only able to be a powerful pillar thanks to those lime you who brighten my spirit π«Ά
