Le Quote π£
βFormulas make life easier, but donβt be beholden to them.β β Tim Richman.
Le Word π¬
yoke (noun) the amount of land that one pair of oxen could plough in a day.
Le Shoutout π§£
The lady I always sit next to in church is lovely.
Her name is Joy, and she is a joy.
Yesterday, I walked in a bit late.
Due to being late, there was no space next to Joy.
So, I gave Joy a fist bump and sat in the seat in front of her.
As I sat there, I felt her tap on my shoulder.
βI have a book for you; please remind me to give it to you,β she said.
βI will remember,β I replied while writing βThe Book of Joyβ on my hand.
After the service, she whipped The Book out of her bag and presented it to me:
The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.
βThank you so much, Joy,β I said.
βIt helped me a lot when I was your age,β she said, smiling.
Wholesome.
Even if The Book doesnβt help, the gesture does.
Shoutout Joy.
A few minutes later, I was drinking a coffee at Hazz Coffee.
I looked at The Book, turned it around, and read the back:
βKnowing Godβs purpose for creating you will reduce your stress, focus your energy, simplify your decisions, and give meaning to your lifeβ¦β
It reminded me of something I read recently: βYou will always be shownΒ enoughΒ to take one step or make your next decision with confidence.β
Too often, we stress about finding Step Seven when we canβt even see Step Two yet.
And we canβt see Step Two because we havenβt even taken Step One.
Just take the small step in front of you.
Step Seven will come.
Le Story βοΈ
The other day, I was asked what my favourite meal (in the world) is.
Any meal? Hmm.
To answer, we will need to return to Limpopo.
On the back of a game drive vehicle, my mom hands me a bowl.
In the bowl, there are two boiled eggs.
With the eggs, there are four pieces of bacon.
With the bacon, there are two slices of gluten-free bread (slightly chewy because they have been wrapped in tin foil for two hours).
After peeling the eggs, I break them in half with my hands.
I place the broken egg halves onto the toast.
On top of the egg halves, I balance the bacon.
Then, I place the other toast on top, assembling the sandwich, encapsulating everything between the two tiny pieces of gluten-free bread like a tailor fitting an enormous manβs leg into a slim-fit suit.
The chewy toast paired with the salty bacon and chalky egg is the most straightforward combination, allowing me to absorb every flavour while sitting in the middle of Limpopo, surrounded by trees, bushes, birds, animals, my mom, and my sister.
With the bacon and egg sandwich, I drink Jacobs coffee.
There is just something about it all.
What is yours?

Have a powerful Monday, everyone.
