Le Quote π£
βWisdom comes with age; sometimes, age comes alone.β β Brent Oliver.
Le Word π¬
wisdom (noun) the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement; the quality of being wise.
Le Shoutout π§£
βEish brother, I think I need to drop out,β Azola said.
He was studying while working part-time, and things were getting tough.
βI need to prioritise the most urgent things,β he concluded, dreaming of his bed.
But, thankfully, he didnβt drop out; he held on when the seas were rough.
Although short-term struggles are easier to feel than long-term success, he overcame the doubt.
Today, Azola begins a new job and chapter as a strategist at a global marketing company.
Like a phoenix borne from ash.
His new life has just started.
Shoutout Mr Bash.
Le Prefice π
The elements bring the most out of us because they are everything we arenβt used to.
The wind on my face makes me feel my face.
A shiver down my spine makes me feel my spine.
Just like failure can sometimes feel more real than success, the elements help shape us because they are everything we aren't used to.
But then, the question is, if we want to feel our face without rain or wind, should we try to feel how the sun sits on our skin?
Le Story βοΈ
Last night, I walked into the sauna.
A guy, about 18 years old, started speaking about how tired he was.
βShame, why are you tired?β I asked.
βI didnβt sleep last night. I went to the club until 4h00 and then went to my friendβs house and watched the sunrise,β he said.
Fair enough, I thought.
Then, he started speaking about life.
βThe other day, I was speaking to this rich man, and he invited me onto his yacht, and there were all these models. Quite a nice life,β he said.
I replied:
βJust be careful who you speak to.β
The man in the corner of the sauna lifted his head and said:
βBe careful of who you listen to, too.β
The man in the corner was one of the most athletic men I have ever seen.
Last week, in the same sauna, he spoke about how bad sugar is for you. So, this week, I decided to see what was new.
βWhat is your latest conclusion, in general?β I asked him.
βWisdom comes with age,β he said. βBut, sometimes, age comes alone.β
I nodded, considering his words.
βYou can experience things in life, but it doesnβt help if you donβt learn from them,β he said.
βItβs similar to the Einstein quote,β he continued. βInsanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.β
He gestured to the wooden walls around us.
βFor example, itβs like someone walking into the sauna, taking a deep breath through their nose, and burning their nostrils. If they returned a few days and did the same thing, burning their nostrils again, it would be clear that they just havenβt learned.β
I nodded again, breathing as slowly through my nose as I could.
Le Neigh from Philosophical Horse π΄
βNeigh.β β Philosophical Horse.
Le Question π€
What does a perfect day make you feel?
Have a powerful Monday, everyone.
Remember to send this to someone who finds meaning in lifeβs smallest moments.
Shoutout man in the sauna cornerππΌ
The perfect day can be a day that makes me feel all sorts of things - but it becomes the perfect day, when at the end of the day, I look back and tell myself 'It was the perfect day for today'
