Sometimes, new chords make learning a new song less fun, making you want to stop before you have even begun.

It’s hard to play when figuring out how to configure your fingers in a new way.

But, for the player willing to stay, learning to play new chords can be more exciting than simply playing well.

This weekend, while eating dessert at lunch, I leant back and said, “yoh, I’m not feeling too well.”

“I don’t think you’re the only one feeling that way,” I heard the voice next to me say.

I looked around the room and realised everyone else was, indeed, feeling the same way.

Last week, I was waiting for Richard Freund at the Sea Point Promenade.

“Richard,” I said over the phone. “I have a parking spot for you.”

“Okay cool,” he said. “I’m turning right at Clicks and Mochachos now.”

“Perfect, see you now,” I said, before putting my phone away.

Now, all I had to do was find out where Clicks was…

And Mochachos.
