Le Quote 🗣
“Enjoy your hard things.” – Pick n Pay teller.
Le Word 💬
hard (adjective) solid, firm, and rigid; not easily broken, bent, or pierced.
Le Shoutout 🧣
The other day, two men were standing in line for coffee in the park.
“I was here an hour ago,” the one man laughed. “I tried to sneak in an early order, but the machine wasn’t ready, so I had to leave and come back.”
“Sometimes, it doesn’t pay to be early,” the other man said.
Everyone in the queue raised their eyebrows, impressed.
Shoutout to the scenes in the park.
Le Story ✍️
Last week, before gym, I popped into a shop.
I grabbed some chutney corn nibs and a box of electrolytes.
While paying, the teller looked at the nibs.
“Aren’t these things hard?” she asked.
“They’re really good for your teeth,” I said.
She looked up and saw I wasn’t being serious.
“Naah,” she laughed, scanning the corn nibs.
*beep*
“Enjoy your hard things,” she said, handing them back.
Le Neigh from Philosophical Horse 🐴
“Neigh?” – Philosophical Horse.
