Le Weekly #83 β Fresh Bread π₯
One quote, one word, one shoutout, one story, one neigh from Philosophical Horse and one question.
Greetings everyone. Happy Monday!
Take a deep breath, read slowly, pause to think after each section, and enjoy.
Le Quote π£
βThings that matter take time, and things that take time, matter.β β Clare Jeffrey.
Le Word π¬
fresh (adjective) of the wind, cool and fairly strong.
Le Shoutout π§£
Last week, a message popped up in my old apartment blockβs WhatsApp group:
βDoes anyone want the other half of a fresh sourdough loaf? Best enjoyed today.β
It was from the esteemed Clare Jeffrey, my *old neighbour.
Knowing she wouldnβt eat all the sourdough herself, she gave away the rest while it was at its best.
Instead of letting the bread go stale, she chose to share.
Shoutout Clare.

Le Story βοΈ
Last week, I visited the esteemed Clare Jeffrey to pick up some fresh sourdough bread.
It was a cold, dark, and rainy evening, and it had been a long day.
Clearly, Clare could see this, so she offered me a glass of red wine and two frankfurter sausages with jalapeΓ±o chutney.
While catching up, I ate the sausages slowly, adding a little chutney with each bite.
Unfortunately, due to my Sauce Mismanagement, I finished the jalapeΓ±o chutney with sausage to spare.
βOh no,β Clare said, looking at my plate. βNow you have to get more sauce.β
βNo, all good,β I said. βIt just means I get to taste the sausage itself.β
Le Neigh from Philosophical Horse π΄
βNeigh?β β Philosophical Horse.
Le Question π€
Are you tasting the sausage itself, or just the sauce you added?
Have a powerful Monday, everyone.
(Remember to send this to someone who you think would enjoy Le Weekly)
