Take a deep breath. Read slowly. Pause after each section. Enjoy.
Le Quote 🗣
“How are you doing?” – Mkhuseli Lujabe.
Le Word 💬
how (adverb) in what way or manner; by what means.
Le Shoutout 🧣
Last week, my sister popped over.
It was cold outside, and she could see I was overthinking things.
“Let me help you light your fire,” she said, and walked me outside, stood next to me while I collected wood, walked back inside and stayed next to me while I lit the fire, and then left.
By simply walking me to the woodpile and back, she reminded me how easy it is to light a fire.
Shoutout Jess.
Le Story ✍️
After just two fires, I formed a habit.
Initially, the small effort to light a fire prevented me from lighting it.
But, once I’d experienced two evenings with a warm, crackling fire, I understood that the ten minutes it takes to fetch wood from the woodpile and build a fire is worth it.
When you start a stove fire, you need lots of oxygen and wood at first.
After a while, when the fire is hot enough, you can close the door, lower the air intake, and watch the flames move slowly.
If done correctly, you’ll only need to add wood every hour or so after that.
Le Epilogue 🐦🔥
The next day, I had to clean the ash from the fire.
So, I removed the tray underneath the grill and started walking to the bin.
While walking, I moved a bit too fast, and some of the ash threatened to blow off the tray onto the carpet.
If I had walked faster, the ash would have blown onto the carpet and gone everywhere.
So, instead, I walked slowly.
The ash was delivered to the dustbin safely.
Le Neigh from Philosophical Horse 🐴
“Neigh?” – Philosophical Horse.
Le Question 🤔
Who can you walk to the woodpile with to help light their fire?
Have a powerful Monday, everyone.
