Graeme Richards is a TV presenter.

Carl Wastie is a radio presenter.

Both of them speak to millions of people every week through their channels.

They are both incredibly busy and have a lot going on.

They are both very good at what they do.

Last week, despite knowing how busy they probably were, I messaged them about school-related things.

Incredibly, they both replied within minutes (neigh, seconds).

Shoutout, Graeme and Carl.

Le Story ✍️

It was 07h15 on a Saturday when a man walked into Vida.

It was cold, wet, quiet and early. No one was in the coffee shop but him. I walked in quietly behind him – I wasn’t walking quietly on purpose, it was just a quiet kind of morning.

I don’t think he knew I was there.

He got a bottle of water from the fridge, walked to the till and ordered a coffee. The total came to R56.

“Make it R66,” he said.

“Thank you,” Ncobisa replied from behind the till, smiling.

The man received his coffee, turned around, smiled at me, and then left.

I walked up to the till, said good morning to Ncobisa and ordered a coffee. The total came to R34.

“Make it R44,” I said.

“Thank you,” Ncobisa replied from behind the till, smiling.
